Colors On A High: Shani Is No.3, Naagin Continues To Reign
Your weekly dope on the ongoing TV shows. Week 8 (February 17 - 23) was a shinning week for mythological serial Shani', but the shadows fell on Star
In week 7, Star Plus’Yeh Hai Mohabbatein had witnessed a
rise claiming the 6th position.
This time, Colors’ mythological drama, Shani starring Kartikey Malviya in the
lead has showed tremendous improvement, rising from No.8 to No.3. Since its
inception in November, the serial has always made its presence felt in the Top
10 but, till now it wasn’t featured in the Top 3.
Sony Television’s The Kapil Sharma Show continued its reign
at No.2.

The ongoing war between the Gods – Indra, Surya, Yam and the
recently joined Mahadev, and Shani had really seized the attention of the
audiences. In between all this saas-bahu melodrama and the fictional super
natural world, mythology is like a breath of fresh sir.

Another Colors’show that continues to rule the hearts of the
masses is Ekta Kapoor’Naagin 2 starring Mouni Roy and Karanvir Bohra. The
revenge saga of a half human-half snake to avenge her parents is intriguing.
The show has always featured in the Top 3 since its premier episode.

Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya and Colors’ Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas
Ki both slipped one position each this week, to claim the 4th and 5th slots
respectively. The drama surrounding Abhi-Tanu’s (Shabbir Ahluwalia- Leena
Jumani) shaadi and Pragya and Purab’s (Sriti Jha and Vin Rana) attempts to
sabotage it are helping the show stay at the top.

Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Ye Hai Mohabbatein
and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, all slipped 2 positions each to No. 7, 8 and 9
respectively. Unlike last week when Star was leading the race, it slackened
this week with many of its shows. Even Ishqbaaz did not make an appearance this
time in the Top 10. Ouch! Guess it hurts.
